We obtained crucial data on the presence and distribution of critically endangered and in fisheries key species - european eel using environmental DNA from samples taken in sea, brackish and freshwater. Research was published in 2023 in prestigious Mediterranean Marine Science journal.

Metabarcoding
Using environmental DNA metabarcoding we performed complete assessment of fish communities in Trebižar River (BiH) and Ljuta basin in Konavosko polje (Croatia), data that will be used for conservation efforts and management of non-native and invasive species.

DETECTION OF EURASIAN OTTER IN URBAN ENVIRONMENT
Single target detection
Through application of eDNA analysis in water samples from urban lakes in Zagreb, Croatia, we identified hotspots of eurasian otter distribution, so enabling appropriate management of this species in this area.
